CloudLinux is hiring a Staff C Engineer for a full-time, remote position to develop and enhance critical open-source infrastructure. You will tackle complex challenges by creating modules, debugging services, and building patches for systems like Apache and MySQL/MariaDB, working from any location worldwide.
What You'll Do
- Create modules and plugins for Apache, MySQL, PHP, and other open-source products
- Debug services and develop your own daemons
- Build patches and supporting modules for Apache
- Develop patches and support for MySQL/MariaDB services
- Set up and maintain test environments for existing and newly developed modules
What We're Looking For
- Strong knowledge of Linux development tools and Linux system software development
- More than 5 years of experience with Linux
- More than 5 years of experience programming C/C++ with Linux
- Experience with RHEL and CentOS
- Experience with POSIX programming and thread programming in C
- Hands-on experience with profiling tools like Linux perf
- Experience in the development of multi-threaded applications and IPC
- Experience in Shell scripting
- Experience or a strong interest in AI technologies
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of Python
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Security, Mathematics, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university
