Integration Engineer
We are looking for a skilled engineer to design and implement integrated systems for drone platforms. You will be responsible for aligning hardware capabilities with software demands, ensuring robust performance across all components.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate technical needs for combining hardware and software features in drone ecosystems
- Define and document system architectures, communication protocols, and integration specifications
- Develop prototypes that connect hardware and software subsystems
- Collaborate with external hardware suppliers to define requirements and validate components
- Ensure compatibility and reliability of final integrated systems
- Design hardware layouts, select components, and plan system-level integration
- Write and optimize embedded code for flight controllers, companion computers, and microcontrollers
- Assemble and test hardware models, assess performance, and refine designs
- Partner with production teams to improve assembly workflows and quality assurance
- Establish testing frameworks for durability, compliance, and long-term reliability
Qualifications
- Proven experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and operating environments for hardware platforms
- Background in UAV systems, including flight control software (ArduPilot/PX4), MAVLink, and autopilot integration
- Strong understanding of networking principles, including OSI model, routing, and firewall configurations
- Proficiency in Linux, shell scripting, Docker, Python, and database technologies (SQL and NoSQL)
- Track record of managing complex hardware-software integrations from concept to documentation
- Clear communication skills for explaining technical details to diverse audiences
- Strong problem-solving abilities, especially in diagnosing and resolving system-level issues
Preferred Experience
- Work with Embedded Linux environments
- Programming in C/C++
- Knowledge of IoT communication standards
- RF engineering fundamentals
- Familiarity with Raspberry Pi and flight controllers such as Matek or OrangeCube
