About the Role

Motorola Solutions is hiring an International Field Service Representative (IFSR) for the Silvus team in Europe. In this role, you will work closely with an international team to provide customers with tailored solutions for advanced multi-antenna MIMO radio and mesh networking technology. You will participate in technical demonstrations, support, and sales, playing a key part in influencing product development.

What You'll Do

  • Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support including system planning, customer training, and system optimization.
  • Become an expert on the operation and application of Silvus' unique radio and networking solutions.
  • Prepare and conduct product demonstrations for customer visits and equipment evaluations.
  • Visit customer sites to provide technical support and deliver training.
  • Troubleshoot failures and abnormal situations in the field.
  • Collect and analyze field failures and abnormalities and provide feedback to the development team.
  • Help Design Engineers reproduce and troubleshoot problems.
  • Travel up to 75% of the time and work on-site at the customer's location.

What We're Looking For

  • Completion of secondary education (such as GCSEs or an equivalent national qualification; High School Diploma or GED).
  • Experience as a Field Service Representative or an equivalent role.
  • Experience in supporting the Ministry of Defense tactical communications with a focus on data networks and radios.
  • Proficiency with TCP/IP protocol and networking.
  • Basic proficiency in English (reading and writing).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be based in Europe.
  • Willingness to travel to potential conflict areas in support of radios.
  • All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check.

Nice to Have

  • Proficiency with radio frequency instruments such as signal generators and spectrum analyzers.
  • Experience with operating and testing IP radios/modems.
  • Knowledge of wireless communication systems, radio frequency signal propagation, and digital communication technologies.
  • Proficiency with programming languages such as C/C++.
  • Familiarity with Linux.
  • Preferred Military background.

Work Mode

This role is based locally within your country in Europe, with extensive travel to customer sites.
