Support critical defense communications as a Sales Engineer specializing in advanced Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET) radio and mesh networking technologies. In this remote position, you’ll serve as the technical bridge between product capabilities and customer needs, delivering hands-on support before and after sales to U.S. government and defense clients.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver technical expertise during sales cycles, including system design, product demonstrations, and on-site training at customer locations.
- Diagnose and resolve field issues with radio and networking equipment, translating real-world performance into actionable feedback for engineering teams.
- Conduct evaluations using RF test instruments such as spectrum analyzers and signal generators to validate system performance.
- Collaborate with development engineers to replicate and troubleshoot technical problems, contributing to product improvements.
- Support business development through hardware logistics, system optimization, and customer engagement across diverse defense applications.
- Travel frequently—up to 50%—to customer sites, events, and demonstrations throughout the United States.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field with at least 2 years of technical sales support experience, or a High School Diploma/GED with 6+ years in a similar role.
- Active U.S. SECRET security clearance or the ability to obtain one within 15 months of hire.
- U.S. citizenship, required due to government contract obligations.
- Proficiency with RF test equipment and a solid understanding of digital communication systems and signal propagation.
- Willingness to travel and work directly at customer facilities.
- Successful completion of a background check and drug screening is required for employment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with TCP/IP networking and Linux environments.
- Familiarity with IP radios and modems, including testing and deployment.
- Working knowledge of C/C++ programming languages.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with a detail-oriented approach to problem solving.
Compensation & Benefits
