JPMorgan Chase & Co. is looking for a Software Engineer II to be an integral part of an agile team in Global Technology Asset Management. In this role, you will enhance, build, deliver, and operate firmwide solutions. Your technical expertise and problem-solving skills will tackle a diverse array of challenges spanning multiple technologies and applications.
What You'll Do
- Identify problems, then propose and execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
- Develop secure, high-quality frontend production code; review and debug code.
- Support the products you have built through their entire life cycle, including production and incident management.
- Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture.
- Work with teams to understand the functional requirements of existing complex business applications.
- Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events exploring new technologies.
- Add to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.
What We're Looking For
- Good knowledge and hands-on practical experience of the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Proficiency with front-end languages and frameworks, such as TypeScript and React.
- Knowledge of UX design concepts (e.g., responsive web design).
- Knowledge of integration technologies, such as REST.
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code with modern programming languages and database querying languages.
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security.
- Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
Nice to Have
- Practical experience designing and deploying applications on AWS.
- Practical cloud native experience.
- Knowledge of server-side languages and frameworks, such as Java and SpringBoot.
