About the Role

Role Overview

As a Process Engineer III, you will lead the development and refinement of semiconductor manufacturing processes, working directly in the laboratory environment to enhance process performance and equipment capabilities. Your work will center on defining technical requirements, optimizing process parameters, and ensuring high-quality execution of experiments and customer demonstrations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine process formulations to improve yield, efficiency, and scalability
  • Define technical specifications for processing and handling equipment
  • Evaluate current manufacturing methods and recommend improvements based on process physics and empirical data
  • Design and conduct experiments to optimize process performance and troubleshoot issues
  • Analyze test results to establish valid process and material control limits
  • Perform hands-on operation of semiconductor equipment and conduct detailed data analysis
  • Ensure consistent quality in all experimental runs and material processing activities
  • Serve as a technical liaison with customer engineering teams, coordinating demo and integration activities
  • Present technical findings to both internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Support integration initiatives and strategic planning across business units
  • Assist in diagnosing and resolving field performance issues
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, product development, sales, and marketing to drive process improvements and customer adoption

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline with at least five years of professional experience is required. Candidates with a Master’s degree and three or more years of experience are preferred. This role requires extended on-site work in Taiwan, operating remotely from that location.

Preferred qualifications include experience with semiconductor or fully automated capital equipment, familiarity with gas-cluster beam, ion implantation, or etch technologies, and demonstrated use of lean methodologies and structured problem-solving. Proficiency in Mandarin is beneficial. Strong written and verbal communication, organizational ability, and analytical reasoning are essential.

Work Environment

This is an onsite position requiring extended assignment in Taiwan, with remote operations conducted from that facility. The role involves direct lab work, technical collaboration, and customer-facing technical support.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this position is $98,199.92 to $138,774.94. Eligible roles may participate in a bonus plan and long-term incentive programs. Full-time regular employees are offered a comprehensive benefits package.
