Position Overview
As a Senior Advanced Process Engineer, you will lead technical initiatives across manufacturing operations, focusing on refining production methods, ensuring process consistency, and advancing engineering capabilities. Your expertise will support the development and deployment of standardized, efficient processes that enhance product quality and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver technical guidance to manufacturing teams across multiple facilities
- Establish and maintain equipment specifications and procurement standards
- Drive process standardization by product line to improve efficiency and repeatability
- Collaborate with engineering, purchasing, finance, and sales teams to support cost modeling and project execution
- Identify and implement innovative equipment, tooling, and process improvements
- Work with external suppliers and internal maintenance teams to integrate new technologies
- Validate new processes and support the transfer of products between production sites
- Engage with customers to review and approve product specifications
- Apply statistical analysis to assess the feasibility of proposed engineering changes
- Stay informed on emerging trends in manufacturing and materials technology through industry engagement
- Lead technical projects based on insights from product and process knowledge
- Act as a central point of communication between global technical and production teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Five years of professional experience in a related engineering role
- Five years of hands-on experience with double wall braze tubing forming and brazing processes, including furnace, conductive, and inductive methods
- Five years working with copper plating and metallurgy related to brazed copper-plated steel components
- Four years of experience with eddy current testing for defect detection
- Five years designing tooling for double wall forming processes
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues in forming, brazing, and quality control
- Four years of experience managing inert gas mixtures with hydrogen to prevent liquid metal embrittlement during brazing
Additional Information
- Up to 25% domestic travel may be required to support manufacturing sites and customer engagements
- Position is onsite at the Surgoinsville, TN facility
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States
