The Trainee Telematics & CCTV Installation Engineer is responsible for delivering technical support across customer sites, ensuring systems are installed, maintained, and repaired to a high standard. This role combines field-based work with direct customer engagement, focusing on resolving faults, performing upgrades, and managing equipment de-installations safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete all required safety documentation prior to starting any repair work.
- Ensure job records are fully completed and formally signed off before departing site.
- Carry out assigned tasks accurately, on schedule, and to a consistent quality standard.
- Diagnose reported equipment issues, recommend corrective actions, and assist in identifying necessary replacements.
- Keep van inventory accurate and secure, maintaining full accountability for all tools and materials.
- Work independently with minimal daily oversight while following company procedures.
- Communicate proactively with customers and internal teams to support timely resolutions and follow-ups.
- Build strong customer relationships by focusing on service needs and long-term satisfaction.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share updates on ongoing issues related to customer accounts.

Compensation & Benefits
Base salary between £25,000 and £30,000. Additional benefits include a London living wage adjustment (3.5–7%), paid travel from home to job site, overtime and occasional weekend work (approximately one Saturday per month), and a yearly bonus scheme. Work Environment
