This role is for an experienced systems engineer who will serve as a technical bridge between customers and internal engineering teams. You'll engage directly with senior engineering and architecture stakeholders—both externally and within the organization—to gather requirements, clarify system-level challenges, and influence product direction. Your insights will help shape technology roadmaps that align with evolving market needs and design capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior technical teams at major customer accounts and internal partners including R&D, Product Marketing, and Field Applications.
- Travel to customer locations and industry events to discuss technology trends, product applications, and system integration.
- Lead in-depth technical discussions to translate customer needs into feasible design pathways.
- Communicate customer requirements across internal teams, ensuring alignment with development priorities and architectural constraints.
- Work with design and manufacturing partners, including ODMs, to maintain technical clarity and consistency.
- Develop and present technology roadmaps that reflect both customer demands and internal innovation trajectories.
- Support the creation of new products by combining market intelligence with engineering insights.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical background.
- At least 8 years of experience in systems engineering, applications, technical marketing, or architecture roles focused on DC/DC converters.
- Strong grasp of power conversion technologies and the competitive landscape.
- Proven ability to engage with engineering leadership at top-tier customers.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering is a plus.
Work Environment
This hybrid position is based in San Jose, CA, with the option to work remotely. Expect to travel 20% to 40% of the time for customer meetings and company events. The environment values respect, inclusion, and teamwork, supporting open collaboration across functions.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual salary range for this role is $150,000 to $206,300. Additional offerings include a matching 401(k) plan, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and disability insurance, paid time off, and tuition reimbursement.
