About the Role
The developer will be responsible for creating and maintaining WordPress sites, implementing themes and plugins, troubleshooting issues, and working closely with team members to deliver high-quality web experiences.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain WordPress websites from concept to launch
- Customize themes and plugins to meet project requirements
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
- Troubleshoot and debug website issues
- Collaborate with designers and team members on site functionality
- Ensure websites are optimized for speed and performance
- Implement responsive designs for mobile compatibility
- Maintain website security and perform updates
- Integrate third-party APIs and services
- Conduct testing across multiple browsers and devices
- Follow best practices for SEO and accessibility
- Manage version control using Git
- Support ongoing site maintenance and enhancements
- Work with client requirements to deliver tailored solutions
- Participate in code reviews and team discussions
- Stay current with WordPress updates and web technologies
Nice to Have
- Experience with headless WordPress setups
- Knowledge of WordPress block editor (Gutenberg)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with Docker or containerized environments
