Role Overview
We're looking for a mid-level WordPress Developer to design and manage a professional healthcare website for a mental health practice based in Sydney. You'll play a key role in developing a secure, scalable platform with integrated self-booking functionality through the Halaxy system, ensuring seamless access for patients and efficient operations for the practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a fully functional WordPress website with front-end and back-end components
- Integrate and configure the Halaxy platform for patient self-booking
- Build and organize a blog and resource section to share mental health content
- Ensure website compliance with Australian medical advertising standards and HIPAA regulations
- Optimize site performance, user experience, and SEO to support digital outreach
- Conduct regular testing and quality assurance checks on all features
- Design the site architecture to support future growth and service expansion
Qualifications and Requirements
You must have strong English reading, writing, and speaking skills, with the ability to understand complex medical terminology and regulatory guidelines. Written communication will be used for blog posts, social media, and patient-facing content, so clarity and professionalism are essential.
Technical requirements include:
- A computer with at least a 1.8 GHz processor and 4GB RAM
- Reliable internet: primary connection of 25 Mbps or higher, backup of at least 10 Mbps
- USB noise-canceling headset and working webcam for client communication
- Ability to communicate clearly in English with a neutral, professional accent
Technology Environment
You'll work with WordPress or similar CMS platforms, Halaxy integration, SEO and analytics tools, graphic design software, and digital marketing channels including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok. Experience with email marketing systems and performance tracking is also important.
