Powdevs is seeking a Full Stack WordPress Developer to build and maintain dynamic web solutions with a primary focus on front end development. This is a full-time, remote position open to experienced candidates across the Americas.
What You'll Do
- Build, customize, and maintain high-quality WordPress themes and plugins.
- Translate UI/UX designs into functional, responsive front end components.
- Implement and optimize front end features using modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries.
- Manage back end functionality including database architecture, API integrations, and server-side logic.
- Ensure website performance, security, and scalability.
- Collaborate with team members and clients to define, design, and ship new features.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer specializing in WordPress.
- Expertise in front end technologies: HTML5, CSS3 (Sass/SCSS), JavaScript (ES6+), and modern build tools.
- Strong experience with PHP and WordPress theme/plugin development.
- Proficiency with RESTful APIs and headless WordPress architectures.
- Experience with version control systems, primarily Git.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, asynchronous environment.
- Strong communication skills in English.
Nice to Have
- Experience with React, Vue.js, or similar JavaScript frameworks.
- Familiarity with modern WordPress tooling (WP-CLI, Composer, Bedrock).
- Knowledge of performance optimization techniques and tools (Lighthouse, WebPageTest).
- Understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Experience working in an agency or client-services environment.
Work Mode
This is a fully remote, global position. Candidates must be located in one of the following countries: Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Canada, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Guatemala, Peru, Uruguay, Puerto Rico, or Venezuela.
