Zendesk is hiring a Staff Software Engineer for its globally distributed Product Security team in Pune. You will be responsible for building distributed, high-scale, data-intensive integrations that extend Zendesk's core SaaS product, championing a secure by design approach.
What You'll Do
- Design, lead, and implement customer-facing software projects.
- Focus on ensuring solutions meet needs over the next 18+ months.
- Manage time effectively to balance individual contribution with assisting other engineers.
- Use best practices at every stage of the development cycle, including peer code review and rapid deployment.
- Champion accessibility.
- Work with stakeholders like designers and product managers to influence customer-focused decisions.
What We're Looking For
- At least 9+ years of commercial software engineering experience as a Fullstack engineer.
- Proficient in frontend and backend development using React and JavaScript/NodeJS/TypeScript (preferred).
- Significant experience with at least one modern Javascript Framework (React/Vue), Build Pipelines, Package Managers, and other CLI Tooling.
- Experience with JavaScript in client- and server-based applications.
- Experience with mono-repo patterns, frameworks, and tooling.
- Experience building integrations in the Salesforce development environment or integrating with Salesforce APIs.
Nice to Have
- Experience building integrations with popular SaaS products such as Jira, Slack, Shopify, Microsoft Teams.
