As a Staff Software Engineer, you will lead technical direction for software development initiatives while directly contributing to codebases and guiding junior engineers. You'll work closely with product teams to translate requirements into scalable, maintainable systems, ensuring alignment between engineering and product goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with product managers and designers to define and deliver effective software solutions
- Mentor software engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and technical guidance
- Conduct thorough code evaluations to uphold quality and performance standards
- Lead architectural discussions, make system design decisions, and clearly communicate rationale across teams
Qualifications
Applicants must have at least five years of software engineering experience, including three years focused on component or module-level solution design. You should have deep familiarity with cloud-native environments—preferably AWS—and hands-on experience shipping production code using JavaScript, NodeJS, React, Vue, or Angular. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for conveying technical concepts to diverse audiences. A bachelor’s degree is required, along with a problem-solving mindset and consistent curiosity about emerging technologies.
Preferred candidates will have worked with Content Management Systems or in domains related to education, EdTech, or media publishing.

Compensation ranges from $148,000 to $160,000 annually, with benefits provided separately.
