Responsibilities
- Shape the long-term technical roadmap by defining strategic direction for core platform components, considering future scalability, security, and product evolution.
- Design and advocate for system architectures that emphasize modular design, clear interfaces, and domain separation to enable faster development across multiple teams.
- Define and refine standards for engineering quality, including code practices, documentation rigor, and non-functional requirements like performance and system reliability.
- Lead complex, cross-cutting technical initiatives that span multiple engineering teams, such as large-scale refactors or organization-wide reliability improvements.
- Navigate technical and organizational complexity by making balanced, practical decisions that align long-term vision with business priorities and delivery timelines.
- Build and deliver deep, cross-system solutions with a focus on backend services while maintaining awareness of full-stack integration needs.
- Lead thorough investigations into critical production incidents, identifying root causes and driving systemic fixes to prevent future outages across systems.
- Act as a technical mentor to mid and senior engineers, fostering individual growth and elevating the overall technical capability of the engineering organization.
- Champion higher standards of quality and hold teams accountable for reliability, performance, and security across the software lifecycle.
