Wealthsimple is looking for a Senior Software Developer to join our team focused on building and scaling a streaming platform. You will design and implement core systems that deliver high-performance services to our users.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and maintain scalable services for a streaming platform
- Architect robust, high-performance, and fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to define technical direction
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Mentor other developers and contribute to team best practices
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience building and operating distributed systems at scale
- Strong background in backend development using languages like Go, Java, or Python
- Deep understanding of streaming technologies, data pipelines, and real-time processing
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
