About the Role
This position involves delivering advanced informatics support across client sites, troubleshooting complex system integrations, and ensuring seamless data flow between laboratory instruments and healthcare information systems.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert-level technical support for laboratory informatics systems
- Diagnose and resolve software and connectivity issues in clinical environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data interface solutions
- Conduct on-site and remote system validations and upgrades
- Train laboratory personnel on informatics platforms and best practices
- Document technical configurations and support activities
- Analyze system performance and recommend optimization strategies
- Support integration between laboratory instruments and hospital networks
- Respond to urgent technical escalations within defined service levels
- Participate in project planning for new system deployments
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and data security standards
- Maintain accurate records of system changes and troubleshooting steps
- Assist in the development of technical documentation and user guides
- Coordinate with engineering teams to report and track software defects
- Perform after-hours support on a rotational basis
- Travel to client locations across the United States as needed
- Evaluate new technologies for compatibility with existing systems
- Deliver post-implementation support and system tuning
- Work with IT staff at healthcare facilities to ensure network compatibility
- Monitor system alerts and proactively address potential issues
- Support cybersecurity protocols for connected medical devices
- Participate in customer readiness assessments prior to go-live
- Escalate complex technical challenges according to internal procedures
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laboratory workflows and standards
- Contribute to continuous improvement of support processes
