You will serve as a key contributor in shaping software used by veterinary clinics across the globe. In this role, you’ll lead development efforts from initial planning through deployment, ensuring systems are efficient, maintainable, and built with long-term scalability in mind.
What You’ll Do
- Lead full-cycle project ownership, from defining scope to delivering production-ready features.
- Partner with product teams to shape priorities and provide technical insight on feasibility and effort.
- Design and implement robust back-end services using Elixir and front-end interfaces with React.
- Optimize data access patterns and ensure sound database architecture within relational systems.
- Support junior engineers through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and technical guidance.
- Collaborate with QA and engineering peers to ship reliable, well-tested software on schedule.
- Investigate and resolve intricate issues reported by users, improving system resilience.
- Stay current with evolving engineering practices and advocate for improvements in testing, design, and deployment workflows.
What We’re Looking For
- At least five years building SaaS platforms with modern technology stacks.
- Strong command of Elixir, Erlang, or similar functional programming languages.
- Hands-on experience developing with React and GraphQL.
- Proven ability to design and tune queries and data models in relational databases.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Based in Latin America with the ability to work remotely.
