About the Role
The engineer will support wastewater treatment projects by designing electrical systems, performing calculations, and ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems for wastewater treatment facilities
- Perform load calculations and power distribution analysis
- Review equipment specifications for compatibility and efficiency
- Develop single-line diagrams and control schematics
- Ensure compliance with NEC and other applicable codes
- Collaborate with civil and mechanical engineers on integrated designs
- Conduct site assessments for electrical infrastructure needs
- Support construction teams with technical guidance
- Troubleshoot electrical issues in existing facilities
- Prepare technical documentation for client and regulatory review
- Evaluate new technologies for energy efficiency improvements
- Coordinate with vendors for equipment procurement
- Assist in developing preventive maintenance programs
- Monitor project timelines and deliverables
- Provide engineering support during commissioning phases
Nice to Have
- Experience with SCADA systems
- Knowledge of renewable energy integration in treatment plants
- Familiarity with energy modeling software
- Certification in industrial automation
- Project experience in municipal infrastructure
