The P&C Engineer will play a key role in deploying and validating protection and control systems within power transmission environments. Based in Berlin, this position focuses on the technical delivery of grid automation solutions, including configuration, testing, and on-site commissioning of critical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, test, and commission GE protection and control systems in line with project requirements
- Provide technical expertise to project teams during implementation phases
- Support sales and tendering activities with engineering input and system specifications
- Collaborate with international stakeholders to ensure solutions meet technical and safety standards
Qualifications and Skills
Candidates must hold a technical diploma in a relevant field related to power system protection and automation, or demonstrate equivalent experience. Proven background in transmission systems and protection relays is essential. Familiarity with HV/MV network configurations, busbar setups, industry standards, and communication protocols is required. Strong English skills are necessary for coordination with global teams and customers.
Preferred qualifications include experience with network infrastructure such as switches, routers, and gateways, as well as knowledge of specific relay series like Micom Px40, Multilin UR, and 8 series. German language proficiency is an advantage.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid role with a base in Berlin, involving approximately 50% travel to customer locations domestically and internationally. The team is transitioning toward digital substation technologies, requiring precision, strong organizational abilities, and discretion when handling sensitive project data.
