Signify seeks a Lead Mechanical Project Engineer to take ownership of the mechanical container scope for new product developments and complex project-specific designs for gas gensets. You will act as the primary technical interface to external container manufacturers and Balance of Plant component suppliers.
What You'll Do
- Own the mechanical container scope for new product developments and complex project-specific designs.
- Act as the main mechanical interface to external container manufacturers to define detailed design specifications.
- Generate complete piping & instrumentation diagrams for turn-key containerized solutions.
- Participate in customer project meetings to define scope, align project specifications, and define technical solutions.
- Act as the main technical interface to Balance of Plant component suppliers for the definition of component specifications.
- Generate RFQ documentation and support the evaluation, validation, and ramp-up of new packaging suppliers.
- Develop and validate new technologies targeting new applications, system performance improvements, and cost optimizations.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Stationary gas genset experience is required.
- Very good knowledge of relevant design codes and tools.
- Project management and team leading capabilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively and strong communication skills.
- High motivation level, self-starter with strong problem-solving capabilities.
Nice to Have
- Master’s Degree and/or additional technical education.
- Genset containerization experience.
- Experience in Jenbacher Gas Engines technology.
- Preferably experience with CATIA V5 or comparable tools.
