As an ICT Designer, you will lead the development of customized solutions for clients across a range of infrastructure projects. Working under general supervision, you will define project tasks, create work plans, and ensure timely delivery within established budgets. Your expertise will be applied to complex assignments involving surveying, design, development, and construction oversight of ICT systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and consult on ICT infrastructure for data centers, commercial buildings, and structured cabling systems
- Apply advanced knowledge of industry standards including TIA, IEEE, BICSI, and OSHA regulations
- Collect and analyze engineering data using standardized procedures
- Support team members through technical guidance and direction
- Develop detailed designs and propose solutions for complex technical challenges
- Use software tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, Visio, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Project to produce accurate deliverables
- Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, project timelines, and financial constraints
Qualifications
Applicants must have over eight years of professional experience in ICT infrastructure design. Proficiency with design and documentation software is essential, including the Microsoft 365 suite and ICT-specific applications. Familiarity with national and local codes—such as the National Electrical Safety Code, TIA cabling and data center standards, and BICSI’s TDMM—is required. Experience interpreting regulations related to permitting and workplace safety standards is also important.
