The Field Engineer plays a key role in maintaining the integrity and performance of our cellular network. You'll be responsible for the installation, monitoring, and upkeep of critical telecom and power systems across field locations, ensuring continuous network availability and optimal signal quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and upgrade hardware and software components across telecom and power infrastructure
- Respond promptly to network emergencies, diagnosing and resolving outages or system failures
- Conduct both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on cellular transmission systems, BTS/Node B units, and related equipment
- Document network configurations, system changes, and maintenance activities with accuracy
- Generate detailed reports on service disruptions, repair actions, and system performance
- Support additional operational tasks as needed to maintain network reliability
Qualifications and Skills
- Holding a diploma or degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Telecommunications Engineering
- At least five years of hands-on experience with A.C and D.C power systems, cellular transmission systems, or BTS/Node B equipment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong familiarity with IP addressing, VLANs, Ethernet, and routing principles
- Working knowledge of radio frequency spectrum, transceivers, antennas, and feeder systems
- Understanding of electrical power generation and distribution systems
- Ability to quickly interpret technical documentation and resolve issues in real time
- Valid driver’s license with experience operating manual transmission vehicles
- Flexibility to work outside standard hours, including weekends, as operational needs arise
