About the Role

This position involves the design, analysis, and testing of mechanical components used in large-scale industrial equipment. The engineer will apply engineering principles to develop reliable, efficient, and compliant designs while collaborating across technical teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed mechanical component designs using 3D modeling software
  • Perform structural and thermal analysis to validate component integrity
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation including drawings and specifications
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility
  • Support prototype development and testing activities
  • Apply industry codes and standards to design processes
  • Troubleshoot and resolve design issues during production
  • Work with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems
  • Conduct design reviews and present technical findings
  • Optimize designs for performance, durability, and cost
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
  • Utilize simulation tools for performance prediction
  • Participate in failure mode and effects analysis
  • Support root cause investigations for field issues
  • Interface with suppliers on component design and quality
  • Maintain design data in product lifecycle management systems
  • Follow engineering change processes
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assist in the development of test plans and procedures
  • Evaluate material selections based on operational demands
  • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers
  • Stay current with advancements in mechanical design practices
  • Ensure designs meet environmental and operational conditions
  • Participate in risk assessment activities
  • Support certification and qualification processes
