Responsibilities
- Create three unique thumbnail variations for each video to support A/B testing on YouTube
- Convert video content into visually compelling, high-click-rate thumbnails
- Use high-resolution stills extracted from video footage as the foundation for designs
- Apply clear visual hierarchy and bold design principles, limiting each thumbnail to no more than three core elements
- Work closely with producers and video editors to ensure alignment on style, tone, and genre
- Continuously improve thumbnail designs using YouTube Studio data, particularly click-through rate (CTR)
- Keep up with evolving YouTube design trends and algorithm updates to maximize viewer engagement
- Reproduce a variety of popular visual styles, such as those used by Alex Hormozi, Gen Z edits, Phoenix Resale, and Pixel Game Squad
