About the Role
The developer will design, implement, and maintain WordPress-based websites, ensuring performance, security, and usability while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver digital solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins
- Optimize website performance and loading speeds
- Ensure websites are secure and regularly updated
- Collaborate with designers and content creators to implement visual designs
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly
- Maintain version control using Git
- Write clean, well-documented code
- Support site migrations and domain configurations
- Implement responsive design principles for mobile compatibility
- Integrate third-party APIs and services
- Conduct regular testing across browsers and devices
- Follow web accessibility standards and best practices
- Assist in project planning and estimation
- Document technical processes and system architecture
- Monitor site uptime and resolve outages
- Support SEO-friendly site structures
- Work with caching and content delivery networks
- Enforce coding standards across development projects
- Participate in code reviews
- Ensure compliance with data privacy standards
Nice to Have
- Experience with WordPress multisite installations
- Knowledge of Gutenberg block development
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines
