Optum is looking for a UX Designer to design and deliver impactful healthcare experiences. You will be responsible for translating complex business requirements into persuasive user experience concepts for web and mobile applications, ensuring design quality from concept to pixel-perfect implementation.
What You'll Do
- Interact with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into persuasive UX design concepts.
- Collaborate with full stack developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to design usable, desirable, and feasible experiences.
- Investigate user needs to identify areas for maximum impact.
- Design world-class healthcare applications for web and mobile platforms.
- Perform user interaction design for complex UI-intensive applications, including workflow analysis and creating low- and high-fidelity mockups and prototypes.
- Work closely with developers to ensure accurate design translation from wireframes to code.
- Conduct design workshops and presentations to share UX knowledge.
- Innovate and prototype new ideas, expertly applying design thinking methodologies.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- A degree or post-graduation in design from a reputed institute.
- 7+ years of experience in UX Design with a compelling portfolio.
- Expert proficiency with design tools like Sketch, Photoshop, Axure, and InVision.
- Proven ability to demonstrate work that increased user satisfaction and delivered business value.
- Proven skills in design thinking practices like user research, focus group feedback, lightweight usability testing, and rapid prototyping.
- Excellent skills for quick design reviews, recommendations, and creating concept sketches during stakeholder meetings.
- Proven ability to create information architecture, navigation maps, wireframes, and low- and high-fidelity prototypes with design specifications.
- Demonstrated ability to drive projects from start to finish with minimal supervision and juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- A strong sense of composition, typography, and visual balance.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Nice to Have
- HTML5 and CSS3 skills, with cross-browser, cross-platform compatibility knowledge.
- Familiarity with basic scripting and functional prototyping.
- Ability to translate a visual design from mockups to front-end templates.
