About the Role
Lead the development and strategy of search functionality by aligning technical innovation with user needs and business goals through data-driven decision-making and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Define and share the product vision and strategic direction for search, ensuring consistency with organizational goals and user expectations.
- Convert high-level objectives into a prioritized product roadmap and actionable backlog to maximize business value.
- Develop and maintain clear, results-focused product specifications, including user stories and acceptance conditions for search features.
- Continuously refine and prioritize backlog items based on user insights, experimentation outcomes, technical feasibility, and business impact.
- Establish and monitor KPIs related to search performance, including relevance, product discovery, conversion rates, and user satisfaction.
- Lead discovery processes such as hypothesis formulation, experiment design, A/B testing, and analysis of search enhancements.
- Serve as the main point of contact for the search domain, coordinating with product, engineering, data science, machine learning, AI, and UX teams.
- Balance immediate optimizations with long-term development of search and information retrieval systems.
- Support agile delivery by clarifying priorities, resolving uncertainties, and maintaining team alignment during ceremonies.
- Promote a customer-first, impact-oriented culture where technical advancements in search directly contribute to user and business outcomes.
