About the Role

Role Overview

A Senior Technician in Electronic Instruments plays a key role in maintaining the integrity and functionality of electrical and instrumentation systems within industrial processing units. This position focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and calibrating critical components to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve issues in electrical and instrumentation systems, including motors, motor starters, conduit, and wiring installations
  • Configure and fine-tune control elements such as valves, switches, knobs, and levers on control panels
  • Monitor and adjust process variables including pressure, temperature, flow, vacuum, chemical levels, and timing through automated and remote control systems
  • Identify faulty equipment by interpreting readings from meters, gauges, and system alerts such as warning lights or alarms
  • Inspect mechanical and electronic components to detect leaks, damage, or defective valves and determine appropriate corrective actions
  • Conduct routine patrols to verify operational safety and efficiency across processing units
  • Perform lubrication and preventive maintenance tasks as required
  • Support organizational values by fostering a collaborative and guest-focused environment
  • Ensure all work adheres to applicable safety standards, regulations, and internal procedures
  • Complete additional assignments as directed by supervisors

Required Skills and Expertise

  • Proven experience in electrical system maintenance and installation
  • Strong background in instrumentation, controls, and process monitoring
  • Proficiency with PLC and DCS programming, including fault detection and resolution
  • Hands-on ability in wire pulling, conduit work, and motor control systems
  • Skilled in calibrating and adjusting control panel components
  • Ability to interpret system feedback and diagnose malfunctions accurately
  • Commitment to safety, compliance, and operational excellence
