About the Role

Role OverviewAs a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of Intuitive's systems within a defined territory. Your work ensures compliance with service agreements and warranty standards while delivering exceptional technical support to customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide service and support primarily at the Headquarter for systems designated as not for human use, with flexible, short-term assignments across Iberia for systems used in human applications to ensure coverage.
  • Deliver event-based technical support across Europe as needed.
  • Carry out scheduled maintenance tasks such as system inspections, preventive servicing, software updates, field actions, and system upgrades.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues for all Intuitive products within your territory, following established procedures and response time requirements.
  • Manage the delivery, setup, and installation of systems and related hardware components.
  • Complete administrative tasks including spare parts tracking, field activity reporting, return authorizations, and expense documentation within required timeframes.
  • Maintain company-issued equipment, including tools, laptops, iPads, vehicles, and calibrated devices.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support sales initiatives, customer events, training sessions, and inter-team communications.
  • Contribute insights to headquarters and participate in initiatives aimed at improving service processes and operational efficiency.
  • Complete all mandatory training, including product-specific courses, Intuitive Surgical University programs, and professional development modules.
  • Manage customer relationships by responding to needs, maintaining system configurations, updating contact information, and supporting training events.
  • Assist in the renewal process for service contracts as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience with electro-mechanical systems and technical troubleshooting.
  • Specialized technical training relevant to medical or precision equipment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities with a focus on customer service excellence.
