About the Role
The role involves designing and executing biomarker strategies to support clinical development in oncology, integrating translational data, and guiding decision-making across multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of biomarker strategies for oncology clinical trials
- Analyze molecular and clinical data to identify predictive and prognostic biomarkers
- Collaborate with clinical, bioinformatics, and laboratory teams to ensure biomarker integration
- Support regulatory submissions with biomarker-related data and documentation
- Interpret genomic and proteomic datasets to inform patient stratification approaches
- Design and oversee translational research studies aligned with drug development goals
- Present findings to internal stakeholders and external collaborators
- Evaluate emerging technologies for biomarker discovery and assay development
- Ensure alignment of biomarker plans with overall clinical development timelines
- Contribute to the design of companion diagnostic strategies
- Monitor scientific literature and industry trends in oncology biomarkers
- Participate in cross-functional team meetings to guide trial design and interpretation
- Develop and maintain biomarker analysis plans for clinical protocols
- Work closely with external vendors and contract research organizations
- Ensure data quality and consistency across biomarker datasets
- Support the validation of laboratory-developed tests and diagnostic platforms
- Translate preclinical findings into clinically testable hypotheses
- Drive integration of multi-omics data into biomarker discovery workflows
- Mentor junior scientists and contribute to team development
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and ethical standards in research
