We are seeking a skilled Software QA Engineer to join our team for a 12-month contract. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining the integrity and performance of our web applications by implementing thorough testing practices across the development lifecycle.
What You'll Do
- Design, write, and maintain automated test scripts using frameworks like Playwright or Cypress.
- Conduct manual and automated testing to validate functionality, usability, and performance.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and designers to clarify requirements and improve product quality.
- Identify, log, and follow up on defects using tools such as Jira and TestRail.
- Develop and manage comprehensive test plans, cases, and documentation.
- Integrate automated testing into continuous integration and deployment workflows.
- Use AI-powered coding tools to streamline test development and enhance efficiency.
- Perform regression, functional, integration, and performance testing across browsers and devices.
- Contribute to code reviews and help refine testing methodologies and quality benchmarks.
What We're Looking For
- At least four years of experience in software testing or test automation.
- Proven experience with test automation tools such as Playwright or Cypress.
- Solid knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript for building and maintaining test scripts.
- Familiarity with testing modern web technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks.
- Experience using API testing tools like Postman.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests within them.
- Proficiency with bug tracking and test management systems such as Jira and TestRail.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and problem resolution.
- Effective communication abilities and a collaborative mindset.
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or Cursor.
- Background in performance testing using relevant tools.
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
