Socure is hiring a Software Engineer-II for our Consortium Intelligence team. In this role, you will be instrumental in building our first-party fraud detection and account intelligence products, working closely with product engineering and product management teams.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Infrastructure, Data Science) to conceptualize and develop new features and products in an agile environment.
- Write high-quality code focusing on performance, scalability, and maintainability with mentorship from senior engineers.
- Tackle a variety of challenging technical problems with continuous guidance and mentorship.
- Actively participate in design and implementation discussions for backend applications.
- Assist in triaging and resolving production issues and addressing bugs to ensure system stability.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent technical experience from a reputable coding bootcamp.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in software engineering focused on backend development.
- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
- Knowledge of engineering best practices and a proactive approach to improving engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
- Ability to quickly acquire operational knowledge of new technologies or programming languages as required.
- Customer-centric mindset with ability to communicate complex technical concepts across various levels and functions.
- Comfortable working within agile methodologies in a global, cross-functional, and collaborative team environment.
