As a Senior Backend Engineer on the Subscriptions team, you'll design and maintain backend systems that support the entire user journey—from initial discovery to ongoing access. Your work will directly impact how millions of listeners around the world engage with content, ensuring reliability, speed, and seamless integration across platforms.
What You’ll Do
- Design and implement scalable backend services using Java and cloud-native technologies to support evolving subscription models
- Own the full lifecycle of production systems, including deployment, monitoring, and incident response as part of an on-call rotation
- Work closely with mobile, product, and data teams to deliver cohesive user experiences grounded in real-world usage
- Drive improvements in system architecture to support long-term growth and operational resilience
- Mentor fellow engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and shared ownership
