This role is responsible for leading silicon design initiatives, delivering robust and scalable IPs, subsystems, or full SoCs from concept through tape-out and validation. The engineer will take ownership of design quality and execution, ensuring alignment with performance, power, area, and cost targets across advanced semiconductor projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with customer-facing and technical teams to resolve issues in circuit design, verification, and physical implementation for complex silicon products.
- Lead architecture and design reviews to validate that technical solutions meet PPAC and reliability requirements.
- Advance design methodologies and development processes to improve efficiency and predictability across design phases.
- Manage verification strategies, including analysis of test data, root cause identification, and implementation of corrective measures.
- Work alongside IP, platform, and SoC groups to ensure seamless integration and optimal system-level performance.
- Define project milestones, eliminate roadblocks, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery with clear accountability.
- Mentor engineering talent, promote strong technical leadership, and cultivate a culture of innovation and collaboration.
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, with demonstrated experience in silicon design across logic, verification, circuit, or physical domains. Prior leadership in semiconductor development projects and familiarity with the full silicon lifecycle—from architecture to post-silicon validation—is essential.
A master’s degree or PhD is preferred, along with experience managing multi-disciplinary teams developing complex designs at advanced nodes. Strong expertise in PPAC optimization, yield analysis, and data-driven process improvement is highly valued. The ideal candidate will also possess solid communication skills and the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives effectively.
