Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute comprehensive test cases for software applications
- Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements and identify test scenarios
- Identify, document, and track software defects using issue management tools
- Participate in agile ceremonies including planning, reviews, and retrospectives
- Conduct regression, integration, and system testing across multiple environments
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts where applicable
- Ensure test coverage aligns with business and technical requirements
- Work closely with business analysts and developers to clarify ambiguities
- Support user acceptance testing by providing test data and documentation
- Monitor test progress and report on quality metrics to stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance
- Strong understanding of software development life cycles, especially Agile
- Experience with test management tools such as JIRA or TestRail
- Proficiency in writing and executing both manual and automated test cases
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems
- Knowledge of SQL and database querying for validation purposes
- Ability to analyze complex systems and identify edge cases
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven track record of improving software quality through proactive testing
Preferred Skills
- Experience with performance or security testing
- Exposure to API and web services testing using tools like Postman or SoapUI
- Understanding of DevOps practices and tools
- Certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) are a plus
- Experience in financial services or regulated industries
