Lead the development and execution of comprehensive test strategies for advanced defense systems as a Senior Test Engineer. You will design detailed test plans, manage test environments, and ensure full coverage of system requirements across hardware and software components. Your work will directly support system validation, reliability, and compliance with military standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement test procedures, reports, and readiness reviews for complex system evaluations
- Configure and maintain test setups, including hardware, software, and instrumentation systems
- Analyze system requirements to verify test coverage and support design validation
- Conduct functional, performance, and compliance testing, documenting results and driving corrective actions
- Collaborate with engineering teams during design reviews and integration phases
- Manage government-furnished equipment and support hardware deployment at customer locations
- Assess processes, tools, and materials to improve testing efficiency and scheduling accuracy
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Master’s degree or equivalent technical experience—typically 6 to 12 years in engineering roles supporting defense programs. You should have proven leadership in system architecture, integration, and test across large-scale projects, with specific experience in Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) environments and Agile development frameworks.
Must be a U.S. citizen able to obtain and retain a DoD Secret security clearance. Occasional travel to supplier sites and customer locations is required.
Preferred Background
- Agile SAFe 6.0 certification
- Experience supporting U.S. government or international Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs
Work Environment
This is an onsite position based in Huntsville, Alabama. Standard business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional extended hours as project demands require. Regular and reliable attendance is essential.
