Celestica is hiring a Senior Technician, Quality to provide critical production expertise and support to Quality Engineers. In this onsite role in Richardson, Texas, you will monitor process and product quality, help resolve issues, and support investigations within the manufacturing operation.
What You'll Do
- Conduct and report on in-process and product first layer assessments.
- Perform activities related to key process and product characteristics, providing feedback for improvements.
- Support the identification and processing of internal non-conforming materials for proper disposition.
- Ensure implemented changes and corrective actions for non-conformance issues are followed on the manufacturing line.
- Actively participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving.
- Perform First Article Assessment activities.
- Support internal, industry, and customer audits as required.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality processes.
- Support and perform RMA (Return Material Authorization) qualification activities.
What We're Looking For
- 4 to 6 years of experience in a similar role or industry.
- Ability to exercise good judgment in providing quality and functional guidance and to demonstrate work methods to new employees.
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal customers.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of quality and manufacturing standards.
- Strong knowledge of computer applications, including the ability to perform tasks using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of shop floor control and quality management documentation systems such as Spectrum Pro and EtQ.
- Skills for evaluating, gathering data, diagnosing, and solving problems encountered in manufacturing.
- Ability to apply knowledge and understanding of quality improvement techniques.
- A well-organized approach to work.
