About the Role
You will serve as a top-tier technical leader responsible for defining long-term engineering vision, guiding platform architecture, and leading organization-wide technical initiatives that impact scalability, reliability, and strategic alignment.
Responsibilities
- Establish enduring architectural direction for core data platforms including NELD and large-scale ingestion systems.
- Lead enterprise-wide technical programs involving engineering, product, and compliance functions across multiple teams.
- Define and promote architectural standards, design patterns, and engineering best practices adopted company-wide.
- Collaborate with senior leadership in engineering, product, and compliance to align technology strategy with business objectives.
- Identify systemic technical debt and architectural shortcomings, then lead efforts to resolve them.
- Influence investment priorities and roadmap planning across multiple engineering domains.
- Design and implement high-throughput data ingestion systems capable of processing billions of events daily.
- Build robust compliance and audit systems engineered for accuracy, consistency, and operational integrity.
- Lead major system migrations, re-architectures, and optimizations focused on cost-efficiency and performance.
- Define and enforce service-level objectives for critical infrastructure across the platform.
- Champion platform-wide improvements in resilience, data integrity, and system observability.
- Develop reusable fault-tolerance frameworks and patterns adopted across engineering teams.
- Orchestrate organization-level design reviews and lead technical governance councils.
- Guide decision-making on complex technical tradeoffs spanning multiple domains and teams.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor on high-stakes projects and strategic initiatives.
- Mentor senior engineers, staff engineers, and emerging technical leaders to elevate team capability.
- Advance overall engineering maturity through standardized practices and scalable design principles.
- Represent engineering leadership in executive discussions and influence stakeholders at all levels.
