As a Senior Security Architect, you will shape the security foundation of cloud-based platforms and services delivered to high-impact sectors such as healthcare and public services. Your expertise will guide Agile teams in embedding security throughout development, from concept to deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design secure architectures for cloud-native solutions, aligning with organizational security strategies and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate security best practices across the software delivery pipeline
- Identify vulnerabilities in existing system designs and recommend practical, risk-based remediation strategies
- Share expertise through coaching, training, and knowledge transfer to both technical teams and client stakeholders
- Lead a small team, supporting performance growth and professional development
- Advocate for continuous security, leveraging CI/CD pipelines and automation to maintain strong security posture
Qualifications and Experience
You bring deep experience in security architecture, particularly within cloud environments. Your background includes applying frameworks such as NIST, ISO, NCSC, GDPR, and PCI in real-world settings.
- Proven track record in secure design for cloud platforms and services
- Strong understanding of network security (OSI, TCP/IP), cryptographic controls (PKI, TLS), and web application threats (OWASP)
- Hands-on experience with Continuous Security, infrastructure as code, and secure delivery pipelines
- Familiarity with identity and access management patterns and tools
- Experience in public sector or healthcare environments is highly valued
- Ability to explain technical risks clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
