Shape the future of product security by leading hardware-focused security initiatives across the development lifecycle. In this role, you'll work directly with engineering and product teams to integrate security into design decisions from the earliest stages, ensuring robust protection across devices, firmware, cloud systems, and client applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead threat modeling and security design reviews for new and existing hardware platforms
- Develop and apply repeatable security assessment strategies across architecture, firmware, and system components
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize, and resolve security risks based on product impact
- Establish secure design patterns for authentication, encryption, data handling, and access controls
- Conduct and coordinate security evaluations including penetration testing, red and blue team exercises, and architecture reviews
- Advise technical teams on risk mitigation and remediation, translating complex findings into actionable steps
- Champion secure engineering practices across DevOps and cloud environments
What You Bring
- 8+ years of professional experience in systems or security engineering with a focus on hardware and embedded systems
- Proven track record in threat modeling, security architecture, and risk assessment across cloud, device, and client layers
- Strong understanding of secure design principles for IoT, mobile, and firmware-constrained environments
- Experience using and interpreting security testing tools and driving remediation efforts
- Ability to communicate technical risk clearly to both engineers and product leaders
- Self-driven mindset with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving, collaborative environment
Work Environment
This is a hybrid role with team presence required Tuesday through Friday at one of the designated locations. Monday allows for remote work unless otherwise coordinated.
