Factor Eleven is looking for a Senior QA Engineer to elevate the quality, reliability, and maintainability of our SaaS ecosystem built with Node.js microservices and React web applications. You will act as a quality guardian across projects, shaping test strategies, implementations, and monitoring systems.
What You'll Do
- Ensure reliability of high-performance applications by writing testable, reusable, and efficient code.
- Optimize and expand existing test suites and CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with product people on test strategy and automation for continuous acceptance criteria validation.
- Work closely with engineers to write efficient and maintainable e2e, integration and unit tests.
- Perform code reviews with a focus on test coverage, quality and efficiency.
- Identify dark spots and create/adjust test strategies to close them.
- Supervise SAST/DAST tooling and set up strict but reasonable rules to ensure quality alignment between projects.
- Contribute ideas, process changes, and new frameworks to ensure continuous quality improvements.
- Pair up with others, plan tasks and projects, estimate workloads, and provide guidance.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of professional experience in software automation.
- High proficiency with NodeJS and TypeScript.
- Expert knowledge in writing tests with Playwright, Cypress, Jest, or Vitest.
- Experience in creating test strategies and POCs.
- Experience working with AWS.
- Working knowledge of SAST/DAST tools such as SonarQube and continuous error tracking solutions like DataDog.
- Ability to write efficient, reliable tests with an eye towards impact and maintainability.
- Experience performing constructive and thorough code reviews.
- Superb interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
- Must be residing in and hold a work permit for a country in the European Union.
Nice to Have
- Expertise with React and NestJS in a GraphQL microservice ecosystem.
- Experience with CI/CD processes, such as Gitlab, Docker, or Kubernetes.
- Experience working with AI tools such as Junie, Cursor, or equivalent.
- Any experience with Cypress, Playwright, Jest, SonarQube, DataDog, and GraphQL.
