As a Senior Product Manager on the AI & Commerce Foundations team, you’ll play a central role in building the core infrastructure behind a rapidly scaling B2B e-commerce platform. This is a greenfield opportunity to define how artificial intelligence integrates with commerce systems, from authentication and APIs to payments and loyalty. You’ll shape the technical vision and ensure it delivers tangible value to both internal product teams and external partners.
What You’ll Do
- Lead architectural decisions for critical platform components including authentication, APIs, payments, and partner tooling.
- Drive initiatives that dramatically reduce integration time for B2B partners, streamlining onboarding from weeks to days.
- Balance competing needs between internal stakeholders—like Flights, Cars, and Checkout—and external partners, making strategic trade-offs to maximize impact.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and data scientists to translate AI and machine learning capabilities into a clear, actionable product roadmap.
- Own the full product lifecycle: from identifying opportunities and defining MVPs to shipping, measuring, and iterating based on data and feedback.
- Coordinate cross-functionally to deliver AI-powered features that solve real partner challenges, ensuring alignment across engineering, data, and partner success teams.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience designing APIs and SDKs with a focus on usability, stability, and long-term maintainability.
- Strong technical judgment—you know when to prioritize speed over perfection and can challenge assumptions to keep momentum.
- Systems thinking: you understand how authentication, APIs, payments, and loyalty layers interact and influence one another.
- Experience launching products from concept to market, ideally in B2B or platform environments.
- Minimum of 5 years in product management, with at least 2 years focused on platform or developer-facing products.
- Comfortable using SQL, running A/B tests, and making data-informed decisions independently.
- Experience delivering products with limited resources—without large budgets, design teams, or clear initial direction.
- Familiarity with AI implementation strategies, including when to use retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) versus fine-tuning, and awareness of LLM limitations like hallucinations, latency, and cost.
- Hands-on experience with AI APIs such as OpenAI or Anthropic, or having shipped products with integrated AI features.
- Regularly engage with customers to gather insights and shape your product priorities accordingly.
- Ability to write clear documentation, present effectively to executives, and facilitate decisions across technical and non-technical teams.
- Skilled at ruthless prioritization and making progress despite ambiguity or shifting priorities.
Technology Environment
You’ll work across APIs, SDKs, SQL, A/B testing frameworks, AI APIs (including OpenAI and Anthropic), large language models (LLMs), RAG architectures, fine-tuning pipelines, and core commerce systems like authentication, payments, and loyalty platforms.
