Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical design and development of new compressor platforms
- Conduct detailed engineering analysis for structural, thermal, and dynamic performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems
- Develop prototypes and validate performance through testing
- Refine designs based on test data and reliability feedback
- Apply DFMEA and design for manufacturability principles
- Support product certification and compliance with industry standards
- Create and maintain technical documentation for designs
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues during development and production
- Optimize components for efficiency, durability, and cost
- Utilize CAD software for 3D modeling and assembly design
- Perform tolerance analysis and dimensional stack-up calculations
- Work with suppliers to develop and qualify components
- Lead design reviews and present technical findings to stakeholders
- Ensure designs meet environmental and safety regulations
- Drive innovation in mechanical systems for energy efficiency
- Support global manufacturing and engineering teams
- Apply engineering best practices to reduce development cycle time
- Mentor junior engineers in mechanical design methodologies
