This role is responsible for overseeing government contract requirements, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, supporting contract negotiations, and guiding internal teams through complex procurement rules.
Responsibilities
- Manage full lifecycle of government contracts from initiation to closeout
- Interpret federal acquisition regulations and apply them to contract language
- Collaborate with legal and procurement teams on contract terms and conditions
- Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, and other applicable government standards
- Review and draft contract proposals and modifications
- Maintain contract documentation and audit readiness
- Support responses to government audits and compliance reviews
- Advise program managers on contractual obligations and risks
- Track contract performance and deliverable timelines
- Identify potential compliance issues and recommend corrective actions
- Assist in developing internal contract management processes
- Serve as a point of contact for contract-related inquiries
- Coordinate with finance and operations teams on contract billing and reporting
- Monitor changes in government contracting regulations
- Provide training to internal stakeholders on contract requirements
- Ensure proper data rights and intellectual property clauses are included
- Evaluate subcontractor agreements for regulatory alignment
- Maintain contract databases and reporting systems
- Support proposal development for new government opportunities
- Ensure timely submission of required contract reports
