Homera Health is looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to lead the development of our modern web applications. You will architect and ship new products, mentor other developers, and collaborate across teams to set a high bar for quality, scalability, and performance.
What You'll Do
- Architect and implement complex full-stack applications using React (frontend) and Node.js/Express (backend)
- Lead technical decision-making, from database schema design to infrastructure setup
- Develop and maintain scalable RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs
- Own deployments and infrastructure (AWS), including CI/CD and monitoring
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product design, requirements, and roadmaps
- Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and mentor mid-level and junior developers
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, security risks, and scalability issues
- Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and evaluate their fit for our stack
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of professional experience in full-stack development
- Strong expertise in React, including component architecture, hooks, and state management
- Deep experience with Node.js and Express, including API design and performance optimization
- Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
- Proficiency with AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, etc.)
- Experience integrating third-party services like Stripe for payments
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- A proactive, ownership-driven mindset
Nice to Have
- Experience mentoring or managing developers is a plus
