As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a central role in shaping the foundation of our customer-facing data platforms. Working within a collaborative, cross-functional team, you'll design and implement scalable data solutions using AWS technologies including S3, Athena, Lambda, and Kinesis. Your work will directly impact how data is collected, processed, and delivered across the organization.
What You’ll Do
- Design, build, and manage data pipelines that support analytics and product needs at scale.
- Work closely with product and technical stakeholders to align data architecture with strategic goals.
- Develop reusable frameworks to streamline data ingestion, transformation, and monitoring.
- Lead architectural decisions for data products, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Apply data observability principles using tools like Airflow, dbt, and Spark to maintain data integrity.
- Champion software engineering discipline in data development—emphasizing automation, testing, CI/CD, and secure coding practices.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum of 5 years in data engineering with hands-on experience in cloud data platforms.
- Proven expertise in Python and SQL, with deep familiarity in building and maintaining automated data workflows.
- Strong background in AWS services such as S3, Glue, EMR, and EC2.
- Experience with data orchestration tools, particularly Airflow, and modern data stack components like dbt and Spark.
- Familiarity with cloud data warehouses like Snowflake or Redshift.
Nice to Have
- Production experience handling petabyte-scale datasets.
- Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Exposure to analytics and visualization tools including Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.
- Curiosity about emerging data technologies such as Apache Iceberg, Dagster, or Great Expectations.
- Basic understanding of machine learning concepts, including model evaluation, and familiarity with LLM-related techniques like fine-tuning.
