As an Analytics Engineer, you will lead the design and implementation of our unified data foundation. Your work will center on creating robust, scalable data models in Snowflake using dbt, ensuring that data is accurate, accessible, and actionable across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and maintain a centralized data model that serves as the trusted source for KPIs and business decisions
- Define and enforce data modeling standards, metric definitions, and governance practices that evolve with company needs
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to ensure clean, consistent event tracking and upstream data quality
- Develop datasets that power experimentation, growth analysis, and advanced analytics initiatives
- Design and manage data ingestion pipelines using tools like Fivetran to integrate new data sources
- Build scalable data marts and visualization layers in Looker to support self-service analytics
- Implement testing, monitoring, and alerting to maintain data reliability and detect anomalies early
- Minimize manual reporting by creating reusable, well-documented data assets across teams
What We’re Looking For
You bring 7+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or business intelligence roles, with at least 3 years focused on dbt in production environments. You have deep SQL proficiency and a strong grasp of dimensional modeling principles.
Experience with Snowflake, Fivetran, and Looker is essential. You’ve supported advanced use cases such as experimentation, predictive modeling, or anomaly detection, and have implemented data quality controls and governance frameworks at scale.
You excel at translating technical complexity into clear business insights, and you thrive in ambiguous environments where you can define high-impact initiatives. Your decisions are guided by how data architecture influences product strategy, growth, and revenue outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Python proficiency for analytics automation or advanced workflows
- Experience integrating ML models or advanced analytics into production systems
- Familiarity with feature engineering or A/B testing frameworks
- Knowledge of workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow
- Experience with GitHub and version control best practices
- Mentorship experience or fostering data literacy across teams
