JustPlay GmbH is looking for a Senior Data Engineer (all genders) to join our team and play a key role in building and maintaining a robust, scalable, and high-performing data infrastructure. You will leverage your technical expertise to design data pipelines, optimize performance, ensure data quality, and collaborate cross-functionally as we work to transform mobile gaming into a truly rewarding experience.
What You'll Do
- Support the design, development, and maintenance of our data infrastructure.
- Write maintainable, performant code and participate in code reviews.
- Collaborate asynchronously and synchronously with other functions to ensure data needs are addressed.
- Create and maintain architecture and systems documentation.
- Research and develop the most suitable methods to extract, transform, and serve data from and to various sources.
- Develop and maintain data quality standards and optimize data performance and scalability.
- Learn and experiment with new technologies and concepts to improve overall team performance and data stack.
What We're Looking For
- At least 6 years of experience in data engineering.
- Expertise in cloud computing platforms, especially Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, Scala, or C++.
- Good understanding of software engineering principles (e.g., Git, Docker, code testing).
- Experience with reporting tools (e.g., Metabase, Looker).
- Proficient in SQL and data modeling skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
