Responsibilities
- Monitor compliance with CySEC, MiFID II, AML directives, and other relevant EU regulations including IFR and DORA.
- Support the creation, execution, and evaluation of compliance policies, procedures, and operational manuals.
- Carry out compliance risk audits and assessments, proposing corrective measures when deficiencies are identified.
- Assist in preparing and submitting required regulatory reports, disclosures, and filings to CySEC and other regulators on schedule.
- Provide guidance to leadership and internal teams on compliance obligations and evolving regulatory landscapes.
- Act as a point of contact for CySEC and external auditors during compliance reviews and examinations.
- Conduct continuous monitoring of customer transactions, perform KYC/AML due diligence, and file suspicious activity reports (SARs).
- Deliver compliance training and practical advice to employees across various departments.
- Support the design and execution of compliance monitoring initiatives and regulatory gap analyses.
- Analyze complex compliance challenges, determine root causes of operational inefficiencies, and recommend process enhancements.
- Review marketing materials and ensure alignment with MiFID II promotional standards.
- Track emerging industry practices and regulatory updates from CySEC and EU bodies, applying them with a global perspective when applicable.
- Serve as interim representative for the Head of Compliance and AML Compliance Officer during absences.
- Undertake additional tasks as directed by management.
